Hi and welcome to the Melbourne West area.  My name is Jan De Witte and I am your local Defence Special Needs Coordinator.

The major Defence establishment in the Melbourne West area is RAAF Base Williams consisting of Point Cook and Laverton bases.  Victoria Barracks and Defence Plaza are located in the city, 2 Commando Company  in Williamstown and the Army Solder Career Management Agency (SCMA) at Queenscliff.

Consequently our group covers families with special needs living on the western side of Melbourne - Williamstown, Altona,  Laverton, Point Cook, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing, Essendon, Moonee Ponds and Keilor.  We also support families living in Geelong and Queenscliff. 

The group hold regular coffee mornings, theatre events, social activities, family days and we run a Teen Group.
