Assistance Available to Families
Travelling Allowance
To assist certain eligible families, a new daily rate of travel has been approved. Families meeting the criteria will now only have to the same rate as if they were towing a trailer or caravan.
The Defence Community Organisation (DCO) will provide families requiring additional travelling time with a letter to use to advise the Defence Housing Authority of this requirement.
If the prescribed rate is insufficient, the case can be referred to the Director Entitlements.
