Therapy Assistance
This assistance measure is to provide financial assistance in accessing therapy services, including Early Intervention Programs, in the new locality where the State/Territory enforces a waiting period. The assistance is a "stop gap" provided until the State/Territory system can assume responsibility. The member will be required to provide evidence that assistance being sought was provided in the previous locality and that an application has been placed with the appropriate State/Territory organisation and a waiting period is imposed by that organisation. To apply for therapy assistance contact your local DCO and complete application form, Form AC 835.
