Personal Care Assistance
This assistance measure is to provide financial assistance in accessing personel care services in the new locality where the State/Territory enforces a waiting period. The assistance is a "stop gap" provided until the State/Territory system can assume responsibility. The member will be required to provide evidence that assistance being sort was provided in the previous locality or that the family is eligible to receive the assistance in the new locality and that an application has been placed with the appropriate State/Territory organisation and a waiting period is imposed by that organisation. To apply for personal care assistance, application form, Form AC 835 needs to be completed.
